Community Connections
Beyond classes and one-on-one support, In Her Presence creates spaces for immigrant women and families to connect with one another and with the broader community. Through circles, workshops, cultural events, and family gatherings, participants build relationships, share experiences, and find strength in community. These connections are about more than socializing. They foster belonging, mutual support, and leadership opportunities. By engaging with peers, mentors, and allies, participants expand their networks and deepen their sense of place in Maine.

Opportunities to Celebrate
IHP creates spaces for immigrants to come together, celebrate milestones, and enjoy shared experiences. These gatherings strengthen bonds, creating a sense of belonging and joy within the IHP community.
Our social circles provide a regular, supportive space to build relationships, share experiences, and connect. They foster trust and mutual encouragement, helping participants feel grounded and less isolated as they navigate life in Maine.
Cross-Cultural Events
We also host a variety of cross-cultural events. These events highlight the voices, talents, and leadership of immigrant women while inviting the broader community to learn, share, and celebrate together. Public events help build bridges across cultures and strengthen community understanding.
