Partner With Us

At In Her Presence, we approach partnerships as true collaborations, built on trust and shared purpose. By working side by side with community organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and businesses, we are able to pool resources, exchange knowledge, and create innovative solutions that strengthen our collective work.

These relationships are not just about delivering services, they are about building a stronger, more connected community where immigrant women and families have access to opportunities, support, and belonging.

Past Projects

Some of the more recent collaborations we've done!

Through the Friendship Mentorship Program, Unum employees were matched with IHP staff and Frances Warde House residents, fostering connection, mutual learning, and English language practice. The program included a luncheon in December where residents and mentors shared food, stories, and experiences, strengthening relationships. Unum employees also participated in the Networking Immigrant Program (NIP), providing guidance and mentorship.

Under the MeHAF Collaborative Grant, IHP and Mano en Mano worked together to exchange knowledge, strengthen immigrant leadership, and share best practices across rural and urban communities. They also facilitate two Wellness Trips for women, designed to connect participants with nature, cultivate relationships, and build resilience to overcome health disparities.

IHP partnered with Birthing Solidarity to launch the Cultural Doula Program, training immigrant women to provide culturally responsive maternal health support. The Maine Doula Coalition also supports the program by advising, training, and mentoring the Cultural Doulas. Cultural Doulas are paired with American doulas to fully support immigrant mothers throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum care.

We co-created a program called Charting Your Course with another nonprofit, ProsperityME. Charting Your Course was a pilot program supporting low-income immigrant women in building pathways to financial security through personal empowerment and financial education. The program combined practical tools with confidence-building, helping participants envision and pursue sustainable futures.

The Maine Farm & Sea Cooperative & Wayside Food Programs-Maine Immigrant Greens Collaborative Education Program is an initiative to empower immigrant communities in Maine to engage with local produce through culturally relevant education and hands-on experiences. In Her Presence leads cooking classes and curriculum development, teaching participants how to use fresh and frozen Maine-grown vegetables in traditional meals while promoting healthy food choice.
